ECFC's Adaptive Toy Workshop
Join us for ECFC’s Adaptive Toy Workshop on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 1 pm until 3 pm at 7125 Riverwood Drive D1, Columbia, Maryland. Learn how to adapt battery-operated toys with switches and/or pressure pads to activate them into an interactive toy that is more accessible for children living with disability!
In this popular workshop, we will teach you how to install a switch cable to a toy that can be used to plug in a variety of alternative switches, buttons, and and/or pressure pads. Participants will learn by adapting a toy provided by ECFC and will get to keep the toy as well as the switch at the end of the session, a $100 value!
This is a great skill to learn and can be transferred to many other uses. Space is limited to 15 participants, so apply soon. Thanks to a generous sponsorship by AbleNet, we can offer this workshop to clients of ECFC for a donation of $40 per registrant. We are asking health and social service professionals for a donation of $100 per registrant. Continuing Education Units are available for this workshop.

This is an adults only, in person workshop.
