COVID 19 updates: winter 2021
We are able to take in donated equipment!! Fill out the form and we'll be in touch to share the new policy and to make arrangements. We are scheduling drop offs and pickups on Thursdays and Fridays 9 am to 12 pm.
With a policy of caution in mind, we have a drop off and pickup policy based on the current state of the COVID 19 pandemic in our area and how best to maintain staff and client health and safety during the process. What does this temporary pickup process look like?
Along with this temporary pick up policy, we ask that you exercise some commonsense precautions:
Thank you for your understanding and please know that we are determined to do our best at helping our families get the equipment they need during these extraordinary times. Be safe!
With a policy of caution in mind, we have a drop off and pickup policy based on the current state of the COVID 19 pandemic in our area and how best to maintain staff and client health and safety during the process. What does this temporary pickup process look like?
- The application process remains unchanged: you can view our available inventory anytime online. Once you’ve identified an item or items, you can fill out and submit the application from our website at www.equipforchildren.org. We’ll then be in touch with further instructions.
- Once you are approved to pick up an item or items, you will be assigned a date and time. It is of utmost importance that you are on time. If you are early, you will have to wait until your scheduled time. If you are more than 20 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled, and you will have to reschedule for another day. There can be no exceptions to this rule.
- Prior to arriving for your item pick up, you must fill out and sign the waiver and email it back to ECFC. No equipment can be distributed without a signed waiver.
- Any financial donations must be done online at https://www.equipforchildren.org/donate.html.
- Pickups will be done “curbside” from the front of the building. At your scheduled time, your equipment will be waiting for you under the ECFC flag. An ECFC staff member will be monitoring the pickup from the front doors. We will not be able to assist you in loading your equipment, so please make the proper arrangements.
- Drop offs are done at the back of the building so that equipment that has not been cleaned does not mix with cleaned and disinfected equipment. We will not be able to assist you in unloading you equipment, so please make the proper arrangements.
Along with this temporary pick up policy, we ask that you exercise some commonsense precautions:
- Please do not schedule or show up for a pickup if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Pain with deep breathing
- Your equipment has been cleaned and disinfected, but we recommend giving it another wipe down with a disinfecting solution once you get home to lessen the chances of any environmental contamination between pickup and your home.
- Please observe any state and county mandates on travel and protective wear.
- If you are able to wait on picking up your equipment, please do so to give those with more pressing need the opportunity to fill the limited pickup dates and times first.
Thank you for your understanding and please know that we are determined to do our best at helping our families get the equipment they need during these extraordinary times. Be safe!
"The kindness and help we found at equipment connections was so encouraging as a special needs parent. Knowing this resource is here for us is a wonderful feeling."
